Le processus consiste \u00e0 appliquer une pression sur l\u2019eau, en la for\u00e7ant \u00e0 travers une membrane qui permet aux mol\u00e9cules d\u2019eau de passer \u00e0 travers tout en bloquant le passage de particules plus grosses, telles que les min\u00e9raux dissous et d\u2019autres contaminants.<\/p>\n<p> L\u2019osmose inverse est particuli\u00e8rement utile pour traiter l\u2019eau de mer et l\u2019eau de puits \u00e0 haute conductivit\u00e9, ainsi que d\u2019autres sources d\u2019eau contenant des niveaux \u00e9lev\u00e9s de sels et de min\u00e9raux dissous.
