Electrodeionization (EDI) is a continuous polishing technology used after RO to produce very low conductivity water without acid/caustic regeneration. It combines ion-exchange media with an electric field to remove remaining ions.
Where EDI is used
Boiler feed, process demin water, industrial DM water systems, and high-purity utilities where stable low conductivity is required.
